Blog Post2: Academic Integrity and Plagiarism

What is Academic integrity and 

plagiarism.

Academic integrity means honesty and responsibility in scholarship.
Plagiarism is the practice of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as one's own.

These are important because people should be responsible enough to do their own work; you should respect someone's work the way you would like your's to be respected. Other people take there time to do their work and it would be unfair to copy their's. If you plagiarize you can be punished because it is illegal. For example if you do a college paper from someone else's you can be expelled from that college. You can also not receive a grade for that work.
